- Temple and Drexel are attracting more students to live on their campuses with flat screen televisions in high-rise dormitories says the Inquirer. It’s hoped that by consolidating and increasing the number of students around certain “upscale” hubs of activity, the universities can mitigate any town-gown grievances in North Central and Powelton Village.
- The Philadelphia Center for Architecture will honor Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper tonight as this year’s recipient of the Edmund N. - The ongoing subterranean work at Dilworth Plaza is making the passageways of SEPTA’s 15th Street Station a bit more leaky and congested than normal, reports Plan Philly. Paul Levy, head of the Center City District, which is spending some $50 million on the extensive renovations of the public space, says the inconvenience will last another four to five months.
